I love Instagram because it’s the best way to find new makeup artists. The other day I happened across this amazing image by artist Joonyoul Seung, which I posted to Reddit in the hopes that I’d be able to find a similar lip product.
I’m one of those people who doesn’t plan for Sephora sales. Then it gets here, I freak out, and buy everything I see. This year the only thing I had in my shopping cart was my boyfriend’s birthday present, which I made sure to order as soon as I woke up. Then I headed down to the recently renovated Sephora on Bloor St. and was amazed by the sheer selection of product available.
This Yves Saint Laurent Lip Discovery set was available at a VIB Rouge Holiday event at my local store. I’ve rarely found YSL sets to be great value for darker skin or interesting enough to warrant purchasing one. So I was surprised that I was attracted to this year’s set – and it seems like a lot of other people were too, because it’s already sold out online. Maybe you’ll be able to find it in store, and here’s hoping it gets restocked.
I recently picked this palette up from Sephora.ca for $55cad when it was restocked. I didn’t purchase it during the initial launch as I already had Too Faced’s Peach Palette (which I haven’t reached for in over a month). I also didn’t think I needed a palette that leaned so heavily pink.
I paid $59cad for the palette and ordered it online from Sephora.ca on October 4th. If you can’t manage to get it online, it will be in stores on Oct. 15th. I was told to call Oct. 14th to double check.
I never got my hands on Pat McGrath’s highlighting kit so when I saw the Lust 004 lipstick kit featured on various Snapchats I didn’t have high hopes. And after her site crashed with no sign of coming back up I was sure my fate was sealed, I was never going to get a Pat McGrath product. Imagine my surprise when I happened to be browsing Sephora.ca and saw it.
If you thought my skepticism for ABH products was unwarranted then you’ll definitely think the same of my skepticism for BECCA products. I just get an uneasiness about how many people tout Champagne Pop in spite of the fact that I’ve actually loved every product I’ve tried from her line, including the aforementioned Champagne Pop.
Anyways, I’ve been on this huge cream/bronzer/shine kick recently whereby I need every product that is luminizing. So of course I bought a Becca blush in Snapdragon.
I’m not a huge ABH fangirl. I don’t think most people need a 4 highlighter ‘glow kit’ and have been disillusioned by the number of Youtubers and IGers who seemingly receive her PR kits.
However, I am a true believer in her lip glosses. I love the only shade I have so much that it was 1 of 3 lip products I took with me on a month and a half trip to Asia. It was also the only lip product I actually wore in Asia.
When these Lancôme Juicy Shakers were first released they were featured on bloggers’ Snapchats and Instagrams constantly. Because they all seemed to be either sent to the bloggers or associated with a Lancôme beauty event I was interested in checking them out for myself.
