Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow on Dark Skin

The Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow is intended to contour features and mimic a sun-kissed glow using the perfect blend of pigment and pearl. It also boasts great blendability, colour uniformity and a gold base that will flatter any skin tone.

It retails for $80 in Toronto and is currently only available at Holt Renfrew – Bloor Street (which had really great service). I purchased the shade ‘Medium to Dark’ and was pleasantly surprised with the results.

It so finally milled that it seems powderless, yet has the most beautiful sheen. It does seem to be a little orange but in the best possible way. It pairs really well with my Laura Mercier Flawless Contouring Palette and all of my orange/brown blushes.

Iphone pic, but I think you can see the bronzy quality well here.

Highlight on the tops of the cheekbone and the bronzer underneath.

A word of caution: When I mentioned I had originally been worried it wouldn’t show up on my skin she stated that it would, “register differently on someone with deeper skin than me.” Which I believe was her way of saying that it wouldn’t.

It also reminds me of the effect NYC Wheel Mosaic Face Powders give fairer skin women. Unfortunately I haven’t found any comparable products for darker skin. If you think you have one please share!

Other notes:

I tried on the Retoucher concealer in shades 7 and 8 under my eyes. I liked both of them and they seemed very close in my opinion but 7 was definitely better as a brightener.

Charlotte Tilbury The Retoucher Concealer under the eyes (no other makeup). Shade 7 on the left and shade 8 on the right.

Iconic Nude was better than Pillow Talk lip cheat.

And Stoned Rose was better on me than Bitch Perfect Matte Revolution.

Hope this was helpful!
