This is my go-to method for days when I don’t want to wait for my hair to dry and then spend another 40 min straightening/curling my hair. It doesn’t require any talent and you can keep doing your thang (aka browsing the internet) throughout many of the steps.
[STEP 1] – After washing, use a microfibre cloth (which I LOVE, I got mine at Walmart for $4) or air dry until 75% dry.
[STEP 2] – Add a heat protectant and use a blow dryer with a diffuser + round brush to dry your hair fully. I use Tresemme’s Keratin Smooth and a Sedu Blowdryer. If you hair is a big pouf after this step that’s okay.
[STEP 3] – Pull your hair into a low bun and use a large clip to secure.
[STEP 4] – Let hair down after ~45min to see your beautiful waves/curls. You can straighten the pieces near the front of your face if it’s kinky, as curly hair tends to be, but the back and sides should already be smoothed.
Note: Depending on your hair type (I have 3A) you can leave it in a bun for a shorter period of time for looser curls and a longer time for tighter/bouncier ones.
Hope this was useful!
